2020 IMHO Beer Ratings - Best of 2020
Given the year that we’ve all had, it seemed appropriate that one of the heavyweights should top the list this time around. The Epic Hop Zombie has been a favourite throughout.
Runners up:
From a deep dive into the Facebook archives
Boxing Day (vs. New Year?) noisemaking; Timaru, 2011-2012. Photos c/o Henry Smith.
Ghost drums
A significant shell upgrade C/o RGK. Pearl Crystal Beat acrylic set - 22x16, 16x15, 12x8.
The parental leave beard
More greys than I expected, and longer than I’ve ever grown it before.
Deer hunting in the Hakataramea Valley, June 2020
A successful walk in the hills with the old man and some serious tools.
Hakataramea Valley at sunrise
No filter required.
90-year age gap
The family’s oldest member meets the youngest.
Fender American Special Telecaster
Ticked this one off the gear bucket list. A few minor adjustments to be made (it’s getting a proper setup this weekend), but otherwise looks and sounds exactly how I hoped it would.
The Federales - XII Below Sound Desk Recordings (2010)
Following up on the previous post - a selection from the sound desk recording from the same night. On reflection I might have come in a bit too hot on the distortion/fuzz those days, but no regrets!
Peak student life
Dunedin, ~2006. I vaguely remember this being the last-minute prevention of a much bigger (house) fire.
