Lockdown mood
Here we go again.
Late-night work companion
Burning the midnight oil with a lengthy friend.
The daycare illness merry-go-round
It’s been a year of constant illness for the smallest member of the house, likely as a rebound to last year’s lockdown (to some degree anyway). Latest on the menu is the glorious Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease; turns out I’m also one of the rare few lucky adults who can develop symptoms. 39.8 fever? Check. Hundreds of blisters? Oh, big check. So many blisters in fact that I can’t currently distinguish hot from cold with my fingertips (it’s all just pain).
Sexy AF.
Haka Valley: The Sequel
A successful couple of days in the hills, upping the body count by two this year. The Buck 110 also feels like a legitimate hunting knife now.
Hakataramea Valley, June 2020.
There will be blood
Time to explore the strange subculture of double-edged safety razors. I have 60 brands of razor blade to compare. I would have thought razor blades would all be razor-sharp by definition, but the forums seem to suggest otherwise.
The test bed for this poorly-designed, non-blinded and ultimately meaningless experiment will be the Henson AL13, made from aircraft-grade aluminium by the same company that precision-engineers components for the space industry.
The spreadsheet is ready. Let the blood-letting begin.
Blood Moon
My best attempt with a phone camera (and tripod).
